Thorlabs Telesto II OCT

Light Source: 1300nm superluminescent diode

Laser Lines:

  • 1300nm

Suggested Software:

  • ThorImage OCT 4.4

The NINC Thorlabs Telesto II: Optical Coherence Tomography Imaging System saves images with an “.oct” extension. These are actually .zip files that can be read with Matlab or other software. Images can also be viewed in the Thorlabs software and exported directly to ImageJ.

Additional Info:

  • Structural scan (2D, 3D)
  • variance imaging (vasculature)
  • Doppler mode (blood flow velocity)

Citation Guidelines:
To describe the Thorlabs Telesto II: Optical Coherence Tomography Imaging System in your paper’s methods section please modify this example:

“[Two and/or three] dimensional images were collected on a Thorlabs Telesto II Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography Imaging System equipped with super luminescent diode at 1300nm.”
